A Month in Belize

So a month in Belize.. that was our plan.  This year we decided to stick to Belize and the Bay Islands.  So we came out of Guatemala and went to Belize.  It was an easy day sail.  We checked into Belize in Punta Gorda because all the offical office are in one spot which makes checking into a country much simpler.  The downfall to PG is the anchorage, no protection. So you must get in and out to a safer anchorage.  We planned to get checked in and head to New Haven Caye but daylight ran out and we made the decision to stay put.  Winds were light and it was safer to stay put then go into an anchorage at night.

All went well.. rolly but not too bad. In the morning we sailed to Placencia..  for some Chinese food and Gelato

It was so nice to get back into saltwater and sunshine.. Steve finally used his new hookah system to clean the bottom of the boat. Worked Great!

I got back to work in one of my favorite coffee shops.. we do enjoy going back to familiar places.. we now know where to go and what to expect. Well mostly

Now we spend our time enjoying the culture and location.

You never know what you will see or be doing.

Schooner enjoys knowing where she is as well.. she know exactly which bush or tree to smell and pee on.

We also can start checking out places we normally stay away from.. we can see what all the fuss is about.

We can also go check out some of the other locations we have missed in the past.. Belize is full of Cayes (keys) that we have not explored yet.  So we go check out Ranguana Caye.. plants are stowed and we are off..

Until next time my friends.. be good to yourself and Others
