Well, it is mid June, and we are still in Isla Mujeres, Mexico. We intended to be in the Honduras Bay Islands right now, but Schooner’s papers to fly to Europe is delayed. We want to wait for this form so she can travel to Europe and to any of the Eastern Caribbean Islands that are European owned. This Titer test form is good for life, so once we get it, she is free to travel without quarantine. We are not complaining about the delay. Isla Mujeres is one of our favorite places to be so we are very content.
We had some visitors a week or so ago. They are former exchange students of my best friend that are out celebrating their graduation before starting University. They spent ten days in Cancun. We loved having them here for a day on the island. Steve took them snorkeling, which was their first time. They experience Skull’s Landing’s BBQ chicken and ribs and a long walk shopping along the beach. It was a gorgeous day.
We continue to enjoy the island and our life here. We appreciate the simplicity. We are experiencing long sunny, clear days among happy people and gorgeous sunsets.
This last Saturday we went out to try out the new autopilot. It was not a success, but we did find it should be an easy fix by simply moving the unit away from anything magnetic. Steve is currently moving it as I am typing up this blog. So we should know in a few days if he has resolved the issue.
Another storm is forecast for this weekend. Perhaps the travel paper will arrive, and we can travel after the storm. We want some eastern winds … not too strong but enough to power our Saga Sea to Guanaja, Honduras.
Have to add some pics of my lil Gman
