More of our inland travels of Guatemala

Guatemala stretches from the Pacific to the Atlantic (Caribbean).  It experiences, earthquakes, volcanoes, flooding and hurricanes (Pacific side).

The landscape during our drive up to Antigua went from jungle to mountainous ranges.

The bus ride up was comfortable enough until the new driver decided he really needed the day to be over with.

There is one major road that goes from north to south in Guatemala. It is a highly traveled road. There are a few small towns along the way which cater to mostly auto repairs and maintenance.

We normally use Airbnb for our accommodation when traveling.  We have had very good luck, we normally can tell what we are getting when booking.

We splurged and got the master bedroom and private bath.  It was the corner window and balcony.

The price ended up being per person

I have so many pictures of our tour I decided to make a video.  Hope you don't mind

Absolutely loved Antigua with it's rich culture and history.

We spent almost a week there enjoying the weather and food.

We visited a restaurant that grew and raised everything they served on the property.  Once a week they have a farmer's market.

So, I think this is enough for now.. later we go to Lake Atitlan to one of the larger villages Panajachel.

Don't forget to be good to yourselves and Otgers
